Due to the increasing demand for the Mark Travis Solo Workshop all who have benefited from the unique methods of this remarkable man will be delighted to hear that MARK TRAVIS is returning to Hawaii for two back-to-back three day SOLO WORKSHOPS on autobiographical writing!

So many people have wanted an opportunity for extended work with Mark that we are planning to offer these two three day workshops— which will allow us to have smaller groups in each weekend. Mark will also be available for private sessions between the two workshops. It is possible to register for either 3 day workshop or for both.

THE SOLO WORKSHOP -

The Solo Workshop is more than a writing workshop— it is a storytelling journey. Students learn a wide variety of skills that will enhance, clarify and shape their autobiographical writing. Ultimately, and most importantly, students will take the audience on a very personal journey and allow them to share your life experiences in a profound and meaningful manner. This Solo Workshop will give all students the tools and insight necessary to continue the journey of development on their own.

Cost: $699 includes three day workshop fee, healthy snacks and meals. There is a residential fee of $100 for two nights, available to off- island participants and for O`ahu residents, space permitting. There is a reduced fee of $1298 for those who wish to register for both 3-day weekends. (Please note there is no increase in these fees from the previous year.
Place: Buddha-Buddha, a former Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Center on the Windward side of O'ahu

 A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to reserve your place with the balance due November 1, 2011.

The fine print:

Cancellation terms: deposit is non-refundable, 80% of balance of payment is refundable until December 1st, 2011. Entire balance can be transferred to another person up to date of workshop.

Visa and Mastercard are accepted. There is a 3% fee on all credit card charges.

Please note: If both 3 day workshops do not fill, we will consolidate the groups into the first 3 day workshop. Mark will continue to be available for private work during the following week.

Accommodation at Buddha-Buddha is dormitory style. There may also be a few spaces available at a luxurious beach house in Laie, a five minute drive. Gourmet meals include lunch and dinner Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday, prepared by Chef Henry Holthaus. (Saturday night group dinner at Leonardo's at Turtle Bay is not included in fee).

Mark Travis

Mark Travis created THE TRAVIS GROUP in 1992 as a training and consulting company for directors, actors and writers. In 1999 he joined forces with director/writer Frederick Johntz and they formed TRAVIS-JOHNTZ PRODUCTIONS (www.travis-johntz.com) which has become a prestigious development and consulting company for both studio and independent feature films and television.

Mark Travis has been represented as a director for many years on the Los Angeles and off-Broadway stages by such critically acclaimed productions as A Bronx Tale, Undressing New Jersey, Faithful, Once A Man Twice A Boy, Time Flies When You’re Alive, Cafe 50’s, No Place Like Home, Equus, Wings, TheComing of Stork, Linke vs. Redfield, Verdigris and The Lion In Winter.
